We invite all stakeholders in the pharmaceutical industry to join us in promoting the safety of medication use.
Under the Agreement on Common Principles and Rules for Medicines Circulation within the Eurasian Economic Union (EAEU), countries are transitioning from national to Eurasian regulation.
This shift affects how information about medicines is presented. The familiar patient instructions on packaging are now supplemented by two new documents:
• GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT A MEDICINE
A detailed resource for healthcare professionals, accessible on regulatory bodies' and manufacturers' websites.
• INSERT (INSTRUCTIONS FOR MEDICAL USE)
Designed for patients, included in medication packaging.
The updated patient insert is user-friendly. It emphasizes safe use, reduces technical jargon, and features a larger font.
To help patients and healthcare professionals understand these changes, AIPM has created an informative video. The video, approved for use, explains the differences between the patient insert and the general information for healthcare professionals.
