From September 15 to 17, Stavropol hosted the 11th All-Russian Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) Conference. Organized by the Russian Ministry of Industry and Trade, this industry event brought together over 500 representatives from the pharmaceutical sector and regulatory bodies across Russia, the EAEU, USA, South Africa, and various other regions. The conference focused on harmonizing quality standards within the EAEU, implementing risk-based inspections, and introducing new requirements for sterile and high-tech production.

The Association of International Pharmaceutical Manufacturers (AIPM) was a prominent participant in the business program. They addressed critical industry issues and presented at key sessions, with special emphasis on a new discussion on contract manufacturing. AIPM experts shared international insights on technology transfer and the development of global production networks.

The conference also delved into localization processes, digitalization, and the application of artificial intelligence in the pharmaceutical industry. AIPM experts identified current challenges and proposed strategies to enhance production efficiency and safety.
"For the AIPM, it’s crucial to monitor how new GMP approaches and initiatives impact regulatory timelines, drug registration, and patient access to modern therapies. The Association’s next step will be to develop a unified position and proposals for an EAEU GMP certificate for civilian products, to be discussed further with regulators," the AIPM stated.
